Fluid Tech position whose primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to,  rig up, monitoring fluids parameters, operating ESS’ chem-ad unit, assist in the operating filtration unit and rig down of equipment.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • H2S Awareness with Fit Test and Safe Land Certification preferred
  • Independently motivated with good organization and prioritization skills
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to travel and work stints away from home for up to several weeks on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required, chauffer’s or Commercial license preferred
  • Basic computing skills required (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Chrome or Firefox)
  • Must be willing to learn new skills and train in principles of Emerald Surf Sciences’ proprietary technologies

Oversee responsibilities of Fluid Tech in addition to managing and optimizing chemical program, operation of ESS’ data management system, communicating with OSRs, managing the field business practices and chemical inventory, and collaborating with other service companies on location.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • 5 + years of oilfield-related work experience
  • Service Tool Operator, coiled tubing, and/or other completion operations experience
  • Extensive knowledge in oilfield safety practices
  • Team leadership or management experience

Emerald Surf Sciences has occasional openings in the Field Engineer Program. The program offers extensive exposure to well intervention and completions. A Bachelor of Sciences degree in a STEM discipline is required to be considered, and successful applicants must complete all of the program’s proficiency exams to attain a permanent position. Applicants who complete the program will serve as a field service engineer responsible for supervising jobs and performing technical tasks and customer technical support.

Job Description:

  • The employee will spend the majority of their time on location overseeing jobs and acting as the operational and technical point of contact for customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Providing technical support to their designated District by
    • Tracking and maintaining technical tools/equipment
    • QA & QC of operational data in OpsViewer
    • Performing and/or presenting Post Job analyses for in-basin customers
    • Performing technical training and development for other employees
  • In addition to the responsibilities above, candidates will receive, and are required to successfully complete, training in the following:
    • Field operations training through competencies in the theory, mechanical and practical applications of Emerald Surf Sciences’ technologies
    • Fluid rheology, chemical pumping systems, and fluid system design training
    • Data management training on the OpsViewer platform
    • KPI and post job report design and analysis
    • PJA presentations and Well-bore Simulator demonstrations
    • Sales, account management and business development
    • Data acquisition systems and instrumentation training
